Release list
v2026.8.0
First public release. Bascaso is a desktop app and self-hosted web dashboard
that replaces Apple's App Store Connect, with an ASO layer built into the
listing you are editing.
- Edit store metadata across every locale at once – descriptions, keywords, what's new, promotional text, names and subtitles – with an opt-in diff mode that accumulates changes locally and pushes them in one go
- Score keywords where you type them: popularity, difficulty, opportunity and download estimates per locale and storefront, with character budgets and cross-locale duplicate detection (methodology ported from RespectASO, docs/ASO.md)
- Run an agentic keyword workflow that searches for competitors, harvests and filters candidates, scores them against live iTunes data and composes a title, subtitle and keyword field within Apple's limits
- Manage TestFlight builds, groups, testers and feedback; read analytics, acquisition and crashes; reply to, translate and appeal customer reviews; upload and translate screenshots; submit nominations
- Three AI tiers, routed per group of tasks: Apple's on-device Foundation Model (no key, no network), your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Mistral or DeepSeek, or a managed tier billed per action. No feature is held back for a paid tier
- Local-first: credentials and app data live in one SQLite file on your Mac, encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key held in the macOS Keychain. No telemetry or analytics SDK
- Optional MCP server so AI coding tools can manage listings from your terminal (docs/MCP.md), and a Docker image for self-hosting
Requires an Apple Silicon Mac. The on-device model needs macOS 26; every other
feature works without it. The download is signed and notarised.
Built on itsyconnect-macos
by Nick Ustinov (MIT) and RespectASO
by Respectlytics (AGPL-3.0). Bascaso is AGPL-3.0.
