Tilework 0.4.0

New

  • Team mode. Put your whole team's agents on one canvas. Click Share, send the invite code, and approve each teammate who joins. Everyone sees everyone's agents working live. Each agent keeps running on its owner's computer, and other people's tiles are view-only. It's free, peer to peer and needs no account. Only tile names and positions are shared, never commands or folders. Some strict corporate networks can't connect directly; a shared Wi-Fi or Tailscale always works.
  • Dynamic workflows. Workflows can now branch and adapt while they run. Right-click a link to set any of these:
    • Only when the result contains… For example, only send fixes back when the reviewer says CHANGES REQUESTED, so a review loop stops by itself once it's APPROVED.
    • Otherwise, for when no other condition matched.
    • Split into parallel workers. The planner's task list becomes one worker per task, up to 8.
    • Waits for all inputs. The reviewer gets one combined handoff.
    • Picks the route. A triage agent chooses who goes next with ROUTE: <name>.
  • Start a workflow with a goal. It's typed into the first agent as soon as that agent is ready.
  • New workflows: Plan → Parallel build → Review and Triage → Fix / Research / Write. Build ↔ Review now stops once the reviewer approves.

Also in 0.3.0: Plan → 3 Builders → Review, with each builder in its own git worktree.

Install

chmod +x Tilework-0.4.0-x86_64.AppImage && ./Tilework-0.4.0-x86_64.AppImage

New

  • Plan → 3 Builders → Review, a fan-out workflow. Ask the Planner to split the work into three parts. Each Builder takes one part on its own git branch (its own worktree, so they never edit the same checkout), and all three hand off to one Reviewer. Start a workflow → pick it → Start, in a folder inside a git repo.

Also in 0.2.0: Claude tiles resume their session after a restart, desktop notifications when an agent finishes or needs you, and Own git worktree for any single tile.

Install

chmod +x Tilework-0.3.0-x86_64.AppImage && ./Tilework-0.3.0-x86_64.AppImage

A real run: Planner, Builder and Reviewer handing off

New

  • Pick up where you left off. Claude Code tiles resume their conversation after you restart Tilework (claude --resume), as long as the session's transcript is still there. Otherwise the tile starts fresh.
  • Desktop notifications. When Tilework isn't focused, you get "Builder is done" or "Builder needs you". Clicking it jumps to that tile. Turn it off in the Help (?) panel.
  • A git worktree per tile. New tile → More options → Own git worktree runs the tile on its own branch next to the repo, so parallel agents don't edit the same checkout. The branch shows in the tile bar.

Install

chmod +x Tilework-0.2.0-x86_64.AppImage && ./Tilework-0.2.0-x86_64.AppImage

Linux x64. If you installed the Claude Code hook with 0.1.0, it updates itself on launch. Sessions that are already running need a restart to report their session id.

First public release.

Tilework runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and your shell side by side in real terminal tiles on an infinite canvas.

  • Real terminals: each tile is xterm.js on a real PTY, running your own CLIs and config.
  • Live status: a dot per tile shows working, done or needs you (from a Claude Code hook that Tilework offers to install, with a backup of your settings).
  • Handoffs: drag a line between tiles. When the first agent finishes, Send → passes its answer to the next with your instruction. Links are manual by default; Auto-send is optional.
  • Workflows: Plan → Build → Review, Build ↔ Review, Research → Write and Quick fix, or save your own.
  • Layout: remembered between launches. Zoomed-out tiles show coloured snapshots.
  • Nublet: with the Nublet GNOME extension, your tiles show up in the top bar, and clicking one jumps to it.

Install

chmod +x Tilework-0.1.0-x86_64.AppImage && ./Tilework-0.1.0-x86_64.AppImage

Linux x64. Only Claude Code reports live status for now; other CLIs run fine without it.
