Sakshi v1.0.0 β Sovereign Modular Platform Release
ποΈ Sakshi v1.0.0 β Sovereign Engineering Specification
- Product: Sakshi (ΰ€Έΰ€Ύΰ€ΰ₯ΰ€·ΰ₯ // The Witness)
- Milestone: Version 1.0.0 (Official Production Release)
- Date: 2026-09-18
- Architect: Karan Singh Verma
- Flagship Module: Death (Memento Mori) v1.0.0
π― Executive Overview
Sakshi v1.0.0 establishes the foundational architecture for the Sakshi cognitive governance ecosystem on Windows 11. This milestone delivers a decoupled, modular system architecture where time-based disciplinary enforcement is executed natively with 0 MB idle RAM and 0% idle CPU via Windows Task Scheduler driving the newly decoupled, standalone Death (Memento Mori) module.
All legacy background daemon polling loops have been permanently eradicated, and the Death module has been hardened against system escape vectors via low-level Win32 keyboard interception and taskbar icon suppression.
β‘ Delivered Capabilities & Architectural Upgrades
1. Decoupled Modular Platform Architecture
- Established the
Modules/directory pattern, isolating independent behavioral engines. - Decoupled the Death module from legacy monolith scripts into a high-performance, standalone .NET 9 WPF engine (
Modules/Death/). - Maintained strict separation of concerns: Sakshi provides the supervisory platform specifications, while each module retains sovereign execution logic and documentation.
2. Zero-Daemon Native Task Scheduling (0 MB RAM / 0% CPU)
- Eradicated legacy 24/7 background daemon processes and elevated polling loops.
- Delegated execution triggers directly to Windows Task Scheduler:
- Zero Idle Footprint: The application exists on disk until triggered; idle RAM and CPU remain strictly 0.0%.
- Sleep-Skip Enforcement: Registered with
StartWhenAvailable = $false, ensuring the machine does not launch queued lockdowns immediately upon waking from sleep. - Zero Disk I/O Quote Delivery: Quotes are manifested directly into the scheduled task action arguments (
--quote "..."), completely eliminatingquote.txtdisk reads.
3. Overwatch Hardening & Escape Suppression
- Taskbar Icon Eradication: Configured
ShowInTaskbar="False", completely hiding the lockdown window from the Windows 11 taskbar. This permanently eliminates the bypass vector where users could right-click the taskbar icon to select "End Task". - Win32 Low-Level Keyboard Hook (
WH_KEYBOARD_LL):- Implemented a dedicated hook intercepting system hotkeys during the countdown.
- Suppresses and consumes
VK_LWIN,VK_RWIN,VK_TAB(Alt+Tab),VK_ESCAPE(Alt+F4,Ctrl+Esc), andVK_APPS. - Automatically unhooks upon countdown completion, restoring keyboard control for quote acknowledgment.
- Window State Enforcement:
Window_StateChangedenforcesWindowState.Maximized, neutralizing window restore-down attempts. - DirectX Topmost Enforcer: Win32
AttachThreadInputandSetForegroundWindowbypass Windows foreground lockouts to command topmost viewport focus.
4. Audio Engine Hardening & Media Control
- 4-Tier Media Freeze: Integrates WinRT GSMTC session manager alongside Win32 fallback commands (
WM_APPCOMMAND,VK_MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE,VK_SPACE) to pause Spotify, YouTube, and media players. - WASAPI COM Session Isolation: Low-level audio session enumeration mutes third-party desktop audio while keeping internal sound synthesis active.
- In-Memory PCM Wave Synthesizer: Calibrated dual-tone mechanical clock ticking (1800Hz / 1500Hz) generated directly from memory with zero disk file dependencies.
- Resonant Unlock Chime: 1200Hz bell chime signaling unlock.
- Ghost Audio Eradication: Fixed lifecycle bug that previously allowed audio loops to persist in the background.
5. Standalone CLI & Global User Deployment
- Compiled single-file release executable deployed directly to
~/.local/bin/Death.exe. - Automatically appends
~/.local/binto UserPATH, enabling instant terminal calls:Death: Launches default 60-second lockdown.Death --test: 3-second diagnostic smoke test.Death --seconds <N>: Custom countdown duration.Death --quote "<TEXT>": Custom dynamic acknowledgment quote.
