v3.1 fixes repeated HTTP 404 write-back failures for devices that have been deleted from Jamf, and adds a Coverage Type column to the CSV export.

What's New

Devices deleted from Jamf

  • Devices that were deleted from Jamf Pro (migrations, divestitures, disposal) used to stay in the app's cache forever and fail with HTTP 404 on every sync. After a complete Jamf fetch (Force Refresh Devices, or when the Jamf cache expires), serials Jamf no longer returns are now removed
  • A device that is still in Apple Business/School Manager is kept as AxM-only, with its coverage data intact and a note in its detail view: "Removed from Jamf on ". A Jamf-only record is deleted
  • A safety limit skips this cleanup, with a warning in the log, if an unusually large number of devices appear missing, so an incomplete Jamf fetch can't mass-unlink your cache
  • A write-back 404 is now recorded as skipped rather than failed, so it no longer retries every run or shows as an error
  • The pruned serials are listed in the sync log at debug level

Export

  • New Coverage Type column: the AppleCare plan if the device has one, otherwise Limited Warranty
  • New optional Coverage Start Date column (off by default)

Upgrade Notes

No action required. Existing credentials, cache and preferences carry over, and there is no data migration. To clear devices already deleted from Jamf, run one sync with Force Refresh Devices turned on. You don't need to refetch AppleCare coverage.
