MarkItDown v0.44.3
Cross-platform release: both the macOS .dmg and the Windows .exe ship app v0.44.3.
New since v0.44.2
- Renamed the output-card button from "Download" to Save as .md (with a tooltip), since it saves the converted Markdown to a file on your computer rather than downloading from a remote source. The save mechanism is unchanged.
Also includes the v0.44.1 security hardening and the version | address header line from v0.44.2.

- macOS (
MarkItDown.dmg): open the DMG, drag MarkItDown to Applications. First launch: right-click the app, choose Open, then Open (one-time Gatekeeper step, unsigned). - Windows (
MarkItDown.exe): double-click to run. If SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway (one-time, unsigned).
Every Windows build is launch-and-convert smoke-tested in CI before release.
