NoteCapt 0.4.31 — first public beta
NoteCapt converts, organizes, and indexes your scattered study materials (PDFs, slides, recordings, images) — so the AI you already use can answer precisely from them, even across hundreds of files. Everything is stored as plain Markdown on your own Mac.
Free during beta. No account, no sign-up, no payment. Works out of the box.
Install
- Download
NoteCapt_0.4.31.dmgbelow - Open it and drag NoteCapt into Applications
- That's it — the app is signed and notarized by Apple
Requirements: macOS 11+ on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4)
What's in this build
- Drag-and-drop import: PDF / DOCX / PPTX / XLSX / EPUB / HTML / images (OCR) / audio & video (transcription) → clean Markdown
- Automatic master index + chunk-level tags, so your AI can pinpoint the right passage instead of blind-reading — precise retrieval even in large libraries
- AI auto-naming and tagging with confidence gating (your original names are never destroyed)
- Batch & folder import with structure preserved
- Hand your library to external AI: drag Markdown out to any chat, or connect Claude Code / Claude Desktop / Codex / Kimi / Gemini CLI via MCP
- First-run guided tour
- Fixed: rare hang when closing the main window while imports were running
