ZuluTalk 1.2
ZuluTalk 1.2 for Android: a free, open-source calling app built on Linphone Android 6.2.8 by Belledonne Communications, released under the GNU GPLv3.
Download: zulutalk-1.2.apk below (Android 9 or newer, 64-bit ARM phones). Check it against SHA256SUMS.
Changes in this release
- 1.2: call video rescales correctly when a foldable phone is folded or unfolded during a call.
- 1.1: on mobile data and slow networks, video is capped at 384 kbit/s and QVGA, so it no longer freezes. Running calls adapt when the network changes.
- 1.0: ZuluTalk branding and package (
com.zulutalk.app); calling-only defaults with no linphone.org services; the caller switches to speaker on outgoing video calls.
See ZULUTALK.md for full details.
Notes
- ZuluTalk is software only. It does not include a phone service; you connect it to a SIP account. Do not rely on it for emergency calls.
- You are responsible for following the laws on internet calling in the country where you use it.
- Known issue: a call hang reported on one foldable phone is being investigated for 1.3.
- Problems and error logs: reports@zulutalk.com. Please don't report them to Linphone.
