Merry Christmas!

This is a collection of changes and improvements i've made over December, combined into one festive update! Merry Christmas (if you celebrate)! 🎄❄

Gameplay

• Warn player if near border underground
  • (hopefully) avoid some close-calls with the border while mining underground, check your actionbar to see if you're close to the border!
• Many balancing changes for snow loot tables
  • There have been a lot of changes addressing this. tl;dr loot tables should now be better for gameplay.
• Decreased levitation time
  • Levitation time should now feel better; used less for clutching and more for plays in battle.

Setup

• Expanded upper grace period limit to 40m

Technical

• Disabled player passive snow toggle (for now?)
• Ensured other players do not gain effects from other players' items
• Bumped version number to 2022.1225

Minor hotfix for a minor update

This release fixes some issues that were present. Kinda crazy. Happy holidays!

• Fixed broken warning symbol
  • (by removing it)
• Fixed broken /trigger snow

This update addresses a minor inconsistency from development. Happy holidays!

• Adjusted snow loot table to match expectations
  • Was still set to White Dye from early, early development. Now drops ~42% snowballs.

Snow Rising!

This is Snow Rising, a fun festive spin-off from Lava Rising! This changelog includes changes from the previous beta release (2022.1203.1).

Gameplay

• Reduced amount of passive snow particles
• Added toggle /trigger snow to individually disable passive snow particles

Setup

• Added notice on performance with snow particles

Technical

• Bumped version number to 2022.1203.2 (for datapack & resourcepack)

Snow Rising Beta 2

This will be the last beta release before official production release. This details some minor changes from my internal beta test 3. Feels pretty good now.

Technical

• Added pack icon
  • Snow Rising!
• Ignored older todo items
• Added tall_grass loot table to match grass
• Decreased amount of candy cane & seed drops
• Slightly increased snowball drop
• Added Resistance for 4s + changed other effects to 6s for candy canes
• Slightly increased levitation effect for quick levitation
• Bumped version number to 2022.1203.1 (beta)
