Reliable desktop packages

This release replaces the broken Windows downloads with packages built and verified on a native Windows runner.

Download

  • Windows installer: Augorithm-1.4.8-win-x64.exe — per-user install; no administrator access required.
  • Windows portable: Augorithm-1.4.8-win-x64.zip — extract and run Augorithm.exe if the installer is restricted.
  • macOS Apple silicon: Augorithm-1.4.8-mac-arm64.dmg or .zip.

What changed

  • Native Windows and macOS release builds in GitHub Actions.
  • Package integrity checks for EXE, ZIP, DMG, and update manifests.
  • Platform-specific filenames so Windows and macOS files cannot overwrite each other.
  • Non-admin Windows installer with Start menu and desktop shortcuts.
  • Patched Electron 39.8.x runtime.
  • SHA-256 checksums in SHA256SUMS-1.4.8.txt.

The packages are currently unsigned. Windows SmartScreen may show Unknown publisher; select More info → Run anyway. On macOS, Control-click the app and choose Open on first launch.
