School checks now retain assignment status, deadlines and instructions with their source evidence, helping Inky avoid starting work that is already submitted, locked or missing required information.

• Read PDF instructions and text rubrics through the signed-in school session and save the materials with the assignment.
• Resume saved scan progress or check one assignment's details without starting its homework.
• Keep completed setup intact after a failed details check, and show collected instructions and active scan messages correctly.
• Add a persistent fake-school harness with independent grading and recorded usage for scanner comparisons.

Includes the PDF and Markdown support shipped in v0.1.9. Validated with bounded scanner comparisons, app recovery and restart checks, and Windows/macOS packaging tests. The more complete live smoke scan used more time and tokens; broad LMS compatibility remains under validation.

Studi v0.1.9

Studi can now download school attachments into the right assignment folder and read PDF text, diagrams, and scanned pages. If a PDF viewer stalls, Inky has another way to read the material and continue.

• Authenticated school-file downloads, with existing files preserved.
• PDF reading with page images as well as text.
• Formatted Inky replies across chats, assignments, onboarding, and school checks.
• Windows and universal Mac installers, with packaged PDF runtime checks on both platforms.

Verified with a real model against a local school fixture, including saved work, review, chat, restart recovery and a packaged Windows launch. Real Moodle and an installed-version updater rehearsal were not retested. The larger scanner/eligibility changes are still being verified separately.

This remains a private beta. Access uses the existing manual beta approval; accepting a Clerk invitation alone does not grant desktop access.

Includes #27, #28 and #29. Local validation passed 235 regression tests, 3 backend tests, UI journeys, and real-agent fixture scan, draft and restart checks. The release workflow also runs checks on Windows and macOS before publishing installers.

Studi 0.1.5 brings the paper interface and browser handoff fixes together with repairs found during real account, chat and assignment testing.

• Clearer onboarding progress and more readable, searchable settings.
• Assignment scans retain instructions and deadlines and reuse existing records across repeated scans.
• Inky saves drafts and local answers reliably, and handles cancellation, retries and browser handoffs more clearly.
• Home chat can start assignment work and report the saved answer and submission status.
• Improved session replay diagnostics and exception context. Passwords and known credentials remain filtered; visual replay covers the Studi interface, with separate browser action diagnostics.
• Isolated test accounts, invitations, profiles and ports let multiple worktrees exercise the complete app independently.

Windows checks automatically on launch and hourly. When Update ready appears, finish current work and choose Restart & update. Mac users can download the DMG and replace Studi in Applications.

Validation: 215 regression tests, native Electron scenarios, agent harness suites, responsive UI checks, and live Clerk/Codex chat, scan, assignment draft and handoff journeys against a local simulated school. Real school submissions and installed upgrade replacement were not exercised during source QA.

Studi v0.1.4 improves private-beta diagnostics so problems can be traced from a student action through Inky's model requests and tools.

• Records detailed chat, assignment and scan activity: prompts, replies, model requests, tool arguments/results, retries and failures.
• Connects desktop events to the user's PostHog session, with AI-generation timing, token usage and SDK-reported cost.
• Preserves useful click and performance context and improves scan/session error reporting.
• Keeps password fields and known credentials filtered. Existing analytics and replay preferences still apply.
