Changes

  • Rearranged directory so helper-function scripts are easier to import
  • Renamed and combined scripts to maintain organization along with the simpler implementation of helper functions
  • New scripts
    • custom_dtypes.py - custom datatypes
    • custom_str_templates.py - custom commonly used string templates (i.e., date templates, age calculator, etc.)
    • data_io_operations.py - operations like reading and writing data, parsing arguments from a string, shortening strings, etc.
    • directory_operations.py - filtering files by types, joining paths, unique filename generator, directory creator, and deleting files by type.

PyProjectTools v1.2.0

This release includes the reorganization of the repository following the addition of new features.

Changes

  • Added libraries ApplicationMonitoring and CustomDatatypes
    • Provides line profiling, memory profiling, lining, and logging.
    • CustomDatatypes include basic custom datatypes for type hinting
  • Added useful_batch_scripts for cloning and updating PyProjectTools for other projects
    • Reduces the need to lookup the repository online
    • Allows users to update PyProjectTools with a batch script
  • Reorganized repository
