• Generate the docstring of a trait or group on its first read instead of building all of them when the package is imported, which halves the import time.
• Import subprocess and shutil only in the two detection paths that spawn a process.
• Fix generate_docstring() raising ModuleNotFoundError on a trait or group whose class is defined outside the package.
