Paper In 0.4.1 makes longer documents easier to edit and gives you control over the saved-document list.

  • Cached previews load in the background; PDF export and history refresh no longer block the interface.
  • Start over clears the current draft with confirmation while retaining recovery sources.
  • Dismiss from list and Clear list hide saved-document entries without deleting PDFs. Use Show dismissed to restore them.
  • PDFs deleted or moved in Finder are marked missing. Deleted queued documents are not recreated automatically.
  • Review requests explain the reason. Separate purchases from the same vendor can file automatically when the other confidence checks pass.

Validated with 98 offline checks, mounted native UI tests on 5-, 10- and 15-page documents, and a 1,000-document history. On the development Mac, a 15-page PDF saved in about 1.24 seconds in the background. These synthetic checks do not replace hardware compatibility testing.

Download the Apple Silicon DMG below. Requires macOS 14 or later and the supported Brother DS-940DW setup described in installation instructions. The app and DMG are Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple and stapled. Validation evidence.

Known limitation: after force-quitting during a scan, Start over may stay blocked until another capture completes. Saved pages and originals remain retained.
