Added

  • Live view. The eye button in the header shows a live picture of the agent's tab (it follows the agent to
other tabs), or any tab you pick, so you can watch a background task without switching to it. It streams with
the browser's own screencast, a few frames a second and only when the page changes, and only while the panel is
open. Click the picture or Show to bring that tab to the front.
  • Bot checks are recognised. "You have been blocked", "Access is temporarily restricted", "Verify you are human"
and Cloudflare's "Just a moment…" pages are spotted before the next step. The agent stops retrying the page and
answers from its web search results or another site, instead of saying it can't help. The site is skipped
for 6 hours unless a request names it (~/.gofer/blocked.json).

Changed

  • No fixed limit on task steps. Tasks used to stop at 25 steps ("Stopped after 25 steps without finishing"), even
when they were going fine; a task like adding 10 products takes about 5 steps each. Now a task keeps going while
    it makes progress:
    • every 40 steps it checks in: "I've taken 40 steps so far. Keep going?" (Keep going / Stop / Don't ask again),
      so a long task can't use up your AI quota without you knowing;
    • it stops if its last 12 steps are the same few actions over and over (type the price → error → OK → …),
      and says what it kept doing;
    • 200 steps is the most one task may take.
  • Each task step uses far fewer tokens, so Groq's free tier (8,000 tokens a minute per model, and a daily cap
over a rolling 24 hours) lasts much longer before Auto falls back to Gemini Flash-Lite:
    • Screenshots for the model are taken at normal size instead of Retina double size: a quarter of the pixels.
They were so big that Qwen's requests were refused as "Request too large".
    • The instructions sent each step include only what applies (video controls when there's a video, form rules
when there's a form, and so on), and the video and form tools are only offered when they apply.
    • Older steps and older results in the conversation are sent in short.
  • A request too big for one model goes straight to the next one, without putting the model aside.
  • The model picker says which limit a model hit and when it's back ("Daily limit reached, back in 15 min").
  • Live view keeps the tab's shape. The whole page always shows, never cropped or stretched (it narrows instead
when the page is tall), and frames match the panel's pixels, so text is sharp on a Retina screen.

Fixed

  • Styled checkboxes were invisible to the agent. Material UI and similar libraries make the real checkbox
see-through (or shrink it beside its label), and the page scan dropped anything see-through. So on forms like
Built POS, "I sell this Product" never reached the model, and it clicked a nearby "Product" option instead.
They're listed now, by their label, with whether they're ticked ("[checked]" / "[not checked]"). A step that
says "checkbox" but picks something else is sent back to the model.
  • Steps say what was really clicked. The step list showed the model's own description ("Click I sell this
Product checkbox") with a tick even when it clicked something else. Clicks now show the element they hit
(clicked option "Product"), checkboxes say whether they're ticked afterwards, and the model's step history gets
the same. Ticking a checkbox no longer counts as "the page didn't change".
  • "continue", "stop", "play", "resume" and "pause" in Chat go to the AI with the conversation. The video
shortcut used to take them, so "continue" after a stopped task answered "There's no video or audio playing on
this page." In Chat, the shortcut now only takes requests that can only mean the video ("go back 10 seconds",
"go to 2:15", "speed 1.5x", "pause the video"), and even those go to the AI when the page has no video.
Direct mode keeps the short forms.
  • Site notes are no longer "learned" from a site that only showed a block page (they were guesses).
  • A web search limited to the site you're on is allowed when that site is blocking you.
  • Pages in your browser kept dark mode only until Gofer attached: Playwright forced every page to light mode.
Your own color scheme now stays.
