VeloWrite v0.2.7 Preview

This preview focuses on export quality and release trust.

What's new

  • Added full Mermaid rendering support in Markdown preview, HTML export, and PDF export.
  • Improved PDF export so inline math and block equations render as formatted KaTeX output instead of raw Markdown math source.
  • Added Download Safety guidance for official sources, version checks, unsigned installer warnings, and first-run testing.
  • Added update-check status to the desktop About panel.
  • Reduced false external-file-change prompts after saving from the desktop app.
  • Expanded automated coverage for Mermaid, math PDF export, static SEO pages, download safety, and desktop trust UI.

Preview notes

  • Windows and macOS builds are still unsigned.
  • The free preview keeps the latest 3 local history snapshots.
  • Back up important Markdown files while testing preview builds.
