We are excited to announce Kythia Suite v0.2.0! This release brings significant architectural polish, a transition to the ultra-fast Biome toolchain, UI standardization across the suite, and refined component ergonomics.

UI Standardization & Component Polish

• Standardized About Pages: Completely restyled About.tsx with full-width layouts, dynamic version badges, structured Core Specs cards (Core Engine, Platform, Privacy First), and interactive Official Resources link lists.
• Lucide Icon Integration: Replaced legacy inline SVGs with crisp icons from lucide-react (Download, Pause, Play, WifiOff, and animated ChevronUp).
• Modular Navigation & Layout: Integrated global sidebar navigation and standardized core UI components across the Kythia ecosystem.
• Refined App Launcher UX:
  • Version selector now allows inspecting older release changelogs in read-only mode (OLDER VERSION).
  • Improved button feedback states during active tasks (INSTALLING..., UPDATING..., PLAYING...).
  • Zero-overhead 3D push-button press animations driven 100% by pure CSS/Tailwind (active:, data-[popup-open]:).

Biome Toolchain & Code Quality

• Transition to Biome: Adopted Biome (biome.json) as the unified linter and formatter for blazing-fast code formatting and consistency.
• Type Safety & Refactoring: Eliminated code smells, cleaned up unused imports, and enforced strict TypeScript formatting rules.

Welcome to the very first public release of Kythia Suite!

Kythia Suite is the unified launcher and home hub for the entire Kythia ecosystem — a collection of beautifully designed, blazingly fast native desktop tools built for modern developers and power users on Windows.

Built from the ground up using Tauri v2, Rust, and React, Kythia Suite is your one-stop gateway to install, launch, and manage every Kythia app — all from a single, lightweight desktop client.

What's Included

Kythia Suite gives you direct access to the growing family of Kythia apps. Each app can be downloaded, installed, and launched directly from the Suite:

• Kythia Workspace — A next-generation local development environment. A modern, resource-efficient alternative to Laragon and Docker Desktop, with native service orchestration, auto .test domains, and a system tray agent.
• Kythia Data — Manage your databases with a beautiful, modern interface built for speed and clarity.
• Kythia Shell — A powerful integrated terminal for all your command-line needs.
• Kythia Convert — Convert images, JSON, and more — instantly, locally, no uploads required.
• Kythia Downloader — A smart download manager built for developers.
• Kythia Control — Your local environment control panel.
• Kythia API — API tooling for developers, right on your desktop.

• Unified App Launcher: Install, update, and launch any Kythia app without ever leaving the Suite. Supports version selection, local-only installs, offline mode, and stale cache fallback — it just works.
• Smart Version Management: The launcher fetches release metadata from GitHub with a 6-hour local cache. If you're offline, it gracefully falls back to cached data or your currently installed version.
• XP & Leveling System: Earn XP just by using the apps. Level up to unlock Gallery content and show off your progress on your Profile.
• Coin Economy & Shop: Earn Kythia Coins through daily use and spend them in the in-app Shop on themes, sound packs, and profile badges.
• Customizable UI: Multiple color themes and sound packs available in the Shop — unlock and equip them to make the Suite your own.
• Profile & Achievements: Track your stats, equipped cosmetics, and unlocked achievements all in one place.
• Kythia Gallery: A growing collection of exclusive Kythia wallpapers, unlocked progressively as you level up. Download the full-resolution originals directly from within the app.
• Live News Feed: The home page features a banner carousel and news section, fetched dynamically and updated remotely.
• Auto-Updater: The Suite checks for updates automatically on launch and can install them with a single click, no manual downloads needed.
• Microscopic Footprint: The entire Suite runs at a fraction of the memory and CPU overhead of Electron-based alternatives, thanks to Tauri and its native WebView2 renderer.

Installation Instructions

1. Download Kythia.Suite_0.1.0_x64_Installer.msi below.
2. Run the installer and follow the Setup Wizard.
3. Launch Kythia Suite and start exploring!

Note: Kythia Suite requires Windows 10/11 x64. Support for macOS and Linux is planned for a future release.
