Kody Video v2026.08.21

This release is about getting Plus on every device you own — without fighting receipts. If you bought Plus on your phone and then opened Kody on your laptop, you used to be stuck: Stripe receipts don't show the checkout session id, so restore was a guessing game. Now your Plus device hands you a six-character code or QR, and your second device unlocks in seconds. We also fixed the home screen on small phones so nothing gets crushed.

New

  • Plus restore by code or QR. On a device that already has Plus, you'll see a "Use Plus on another device" option that generates a short six-character code and a scannable QR. On the new device, you can type the code, scan the QR, or paste a checkout or unlock URL — whichever you have handy. Codes live for 30 minutes and Stripe still verifies entitlement server-side, so this is a convenience layer on top of the same purchase flow, not a backdoor. (#184)

Fixed

  • On short phones (like the iPhone 13 mini), the home screen's slot grid no longer collapses or clips the privacy line — the slot column scrolls instead, tiles keep a minimum height so they stay tappable, and the brand hero stays pinned at the top. Tall phones are unchanged and still fill the screen without a scrollbar. (#183)
