What's new

Initial release of ReadMate — native macOS reading assistant.

Install

  1. Download ReadMate-0.1.0.dmg below
  2. Open the DMG, drag ReadMate to your Applications folder
  3. Bypass Gatekeeper (first launch only — pick one method below)
  4. Grant Accessibility permission when prompted

Bypass Gatekeeper

macOS blocks unsigned apps. Choose one:

  • System Settings — Try to open ReadMate, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway
  • Right-click — In Finder, right-click ReadMate → Open → confirm
  • Terminal — Run: xattr -cr /Applications/ReadMate.app

Requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later.
