Harissa64 2.0.1

Fixes, mostly for the Mario games.

  • Paper Mario: the colours are right again from the start of a new game
(they went wrong when Mario or Luigi left the house), and shadows are
    dark again.
  • Mario Kart 64: the points screen between races shows each player's
view properly: no clouds spilling over the other views, no holes in the
    walls of the top-right view.
  • Mario Golf: courses, players and scores look right at full speed (the
pause menu has a black background).
  • Mario Tennis: players, net and umpire show up during matches.
  • Yoshi's Story starts now (its levels still have a garbled background and
    run slowly).
  • Fixes that only matter for one game are now turned on for that game
only, so they can't change how the others look.

The games list (docs/games.md) has the details.

@github-actions github-actions released this 10 Oct 20:22

Harissa64 2.0.0

The first release of Harissa64, rewritten from scratch.

What's in it:

  • A recompiler for the N64 CPU and a renderer that draws the N64 picture
with the Xbox 360 GPU, at up to 3x the original resolution.
  • Most Nintendo and Rare games we tried run at or close to full speed:
Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Paper
Mario, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Tooie, GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, Conker's
Bad Fur Day and more. See docs/games.md for the list and the speeds.
  • Game saves (EEPROM, SRAM, FlashRAM, Controller Pak) and save states with
    9 slots.
  • Up to four controllers.
  • Graphics presets (Original, N64 Enhanced, N64 Smooth, N64 CRT),
widescreen 16:9, texture filtering, edge smoothing and screen effects.
  • A new interface with a game list, an in-game menu and a cover for Aurora.

Known issues: a few busy scenes still drop below 60 (Perfect Dark and
Conker's cutscenes in places), some games show a black screen for a few
seconds at boot, and most of the N64 library hasn't been tested yet.
