megaDSP v0.30.0 Beta 1
This is the first megaDSP build intended for broader public testing. It is an
early beta: back up important sessions before using it, and please report the
DAW, operating system, plugin format, and copyable seven-character build hash
with any issue.
Highlights
- 53 processors across dynamics, EQ/filtering, saturation, time, modulation,
creative, stereo, and utility categories - Eight prepared snapshots with sample-accurate MIDI Program Change recall,
click-safe transitions, bounded spill tails, and optional LIVE SAFE mode - Eight-slot serial card rack with a sticky chain navigator, direct insertion,
drag reordering, searchable module browser, themes, and instance labels - VST3 and CLAP for macOS, Windows, and Linux; Audio Unit for macOS
- Neural Amp Modeler support for user-provided
.nammodels - Local rotating diagnostics and crash markers containing the exact build
version and commit
Validation
- GitHub Actions build and test matrix passed on macOS 15, Windows Server 2022,
and Ubuntu 24.04 - macOS VST3 passed pluginval strictness 10 with GUI tests skipped
- macOS VST3 passed pluginval strictness 5 with editor tests enabled
- macOS VST3, AU, and CLAP bundles are universal arm64/x86_64 and pass strict
bundle signature verification
Before testing
- macOS bundles are ad-hoc signed but not notarized. You may need to approve
them in macOS Privacy & Security or remove quarantine as described in the
README. - Windows binaries are not code-signed.
- NAM model files and convolution impulse responses are not bundled.
- Creative spectral effects intentionally keep dry audio immediate; their wet
signal begins after the analysis window.
See the README for installation
paths and the effects reference
for detailed controls.
