TRACE v0.2.0
TRACE v0.2.0 is the first major analysis-focused release. It makes comparisons easier to understand, easier to return to, and much more useful around the parts of a lap where time is actually won or lost.
Highlights
- Deterministic corner detection with entry, middle, and exit loss decomposition.
- Ranked Analysis panel backed by measured braking, minimum-speed, and throttle evidence—without AI-generated coaching claims.
- Track-map braking zones, clearer corner labels, corrected orientation, synchronized markers, spatial zoom, and cursor following.
- Faster-reference workflow with compatible reference suggestions and imported laps prioritized.
- Persistent named comparisons, driver profiles, attribution, timestamps, and clearer session selection.
- Reworked comparison HUD with synchronized seeking, sector deltas, telemetry zoom, steering, pedals, speed, gear, and stable responsive sizing.
- Separate configurable hosted/self-hosted endpoints for the control API and realtime Live service.
- New responsive static simtrace.run product site using real TRACE screenshots.
- Faster cached CI with full Linux verification and Windows acquisition-boundary checks.
Hosted defaults
- API:
https://api.simtrace.run - Live:
https://live.simtrace.run
Both remain configurable in Settings for self-hosted deployments. Remote spectating itself remains future work.
