TRACE v0.3.2 is the first installer-based release and bootstraps automatic updates.

Highlights

  • Adds in-app update checks, download progress, cryptographic verification, passive installation, and restart.
  • Publishes a Windows installer and updater manifest while retaining the portable executable and fixture collector.
  • Makes the floating track map draggable and resizable.
  • Reworks the telemetry canvas for wide displays and keeps analysis controls out of the data view.
  • Improves the simtrace.run mobile layout and installer guidance.
  • Documents planned live-session playback and time shifting.

Important

TRACE v0.3.1 and older portable builds cannot update themselves. Install v0.3.2 manually once using the Windows installer; future releases can then be installed from inside TRACE.
