Changes since v0.5.0

  • Give the packed release a mode (ece8a34)
  • Pack with the archive module, not a tar command (3cce7e4)
  • Ship the site as one archive instead of thousands of files (cd9f2bb)
  • Don't offer a voice pack too incomplete to finish a sentence (13c08f1)
  • Mark the braking and the throttle at every corner, not once a lap (ac16377)
  • Stop the map teleporting, and give the walk buttons somewhere to say (7268725)
  • Count the circuit's turns instead of cataloguing them (af7d5cf)
  • Zoom far enough to see the road, and smooth what that exposes (00b9863)
  • Leave a finished road alone, and stop a stranger reading the corner names (864ef88)
  • Lay the tarmac down, list my own laps, and skip a corner I drove round (2ab8cb2)
  • Zoom and pan the lap map, and call a puncture damage (787eef6)
  • Draw the whole lap the way the corners are drawn (f81d9e5)
  • Show a whole lap, and write down the calls that get argued with (f2b2f1a)
  • Stop the coach repeating itself (fefbd48)
  • Name every corner in a stretch, and wrap the label (040a20b)
  • Write down what the coach decided, and name a corner properly (ef1610a)
  • Say what was measured, not where the car ended up (5f851b8)
  • Place the rotation point inside the corner it belongs to (bd4f3a2)
  • Read the yaw rate the sim was publishing all along (a3690df)
  • Count the rotations in a section, not just its length (344906d)
  • Ask the config for the field it actually has (e8c6688)
  • Call the repositories by the name of the app (23a5ba1)
  • Watch the brake application, not only the release (0a52687)
  • Keep the coach out of the driver's way (676e9b0)
  • Read the rest of what the book judges a corner by (47a6c57)
  • Bump to 0.5.1 (bbb50a1)
  • Coach to the book, but only once the driver is on the pace (7c1a7cc)
  • Stop faulting a corner entered flat out for early throttle (fd57837)
  • Measure what shape each stretch of circuit actually is (d867caf)
  • Ship the site's build with it, and only test what changed (e0f0878)
  • Declare PyYAML, which the workflow test needs to be collected (30c0398)
  • Point the relay deploy at its own playbook again (d028d59)

Before you install

Windows will show a SmartScreen warning: these builds are not
code-signed, so Windows has no publisher to attribute them to. Choose
More info → Run anyway. Some antivirus products flag it too — the
app installs a global keyboard hook and synthesises keystrokes, which
is a keylogger's behavioural signature and also exactly what
push-to-talk dictation requires.

Everything runs locally. The only network access is the one-time
speech model download and the update check. Verify your download
against SHA256SUMS if you'd rather not take that on trust.

SimPitRadio needs to run as administrator: if a sim runs elevated and
SimPitRadio doesn't, Windows silently discards every keystroke it sends.
The installer sets this up for you.
