Official .deb packages are available for Debian 13, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS on Intel/AMD 64-bit PCs.

Download the .deb matching your distribution and install it with APT. Gnoblin adds a separate login session and keeps its newer runtime libraries in /usr/lib/gnoblin. It does not replace your GNOME installation. Updates are manual downloads; these packages do not add an APT repository.

This release also includes the declarative Lua configuration API, expanded examples and clearer configuration guides. Source builds use the main branch and private dependencies without upgrading the host system.

All three packages were tested in clean containers: installation alongside GNOME, Lua configuration, the installed CLI and compositor bridge, window controls, protocol isolation and removal. Stock GNOME's binary and version remained unchanged. These headless checks do not cover a display-manager login or a hardware seat.

The assets include checksums, source archives and the sources for bundled dependencies.
