1.0.0 (2026-10-24)

The first public release.

  • Ear battery: how tired your ears are right now. It drains while you listen (faster when it's loud, bright, squashed, repetitive or late) and refills in silence.
  • Hearing dose: today's share of the WHO safe-listening allowance; a day at NORMAL is 8 hours. DONE. when it's used up, and a weekly look back.
  • Your ears set the level: QUIET / NORMAL / LOUD and MONITORS / HEADPHONES. WELCOME. asks the first time, NEW SESSION. at the first music of the day and after 2 hours away; HOW LOUD? when the music drifts 6 LU or more.
  • Three strictness modes: GENTLE (one sound and a pop-up), ESCALATING (BREAK. at +10 min, STOP. at +20, then every 15 min) and HARD (a vinyl power-down for at least 5 minutes; never during a take; SNOOZE buys 10 minutes).
  • Hints: LOOP., LATE., BRIGHT., SQUASHED. and HALF DOSE., each at most twice a day.
  • A coach: about 370 lines, with thoughts on the track and the craft, care tips and ear facts during breaks; no line repeats early, even across restarts.
  • SOUND ON / OFF in the window; pop-ups float over full-screen Live and never take the keyboard.
  • Studio-safe: bit-identical output (null-tested), zero latency, about 0.02 % of one core on the audio thread, 2–3 MB of memory, exports never counted or muted, no internet.
  • VST3 and Audio Unit for macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel. Tested in Ableton Live 11.
