✨ New

  • Sign in on your phone (TV Everywhere): every network's TV-provider login can now be done on your own phone or computer instead of in FastChannels' built-in browser. Pick Sign in on my phone on the TV Everywhere card and you get a link plus a QR code; sign in to your provider there and FastChannels picks it up. Works for NBC, FOX TVE, A+E, Warner (TBS/TNT/truTV) and AMC Networks. Discovery uses a 6-digit code you enter at its activate page, and this is now the recommended way to sign Discovery in with Spectrum/Cox. FOX One has the same button on its own card. "Sign in for me" is still the default.
  • ESPN with a TV provider: if your ESPN access comes from a TV-provider login rather than an ESPN plan on your MyDisney account, the ESPN card now has a TV-provider sign-in (link + QR, opened on your own device) with its own provider picker. You get the ESPN networks your package includes; NFL Network and MLB Network still need an ESPN plan. With both sign-ins set up, the ESPN account is used first and the TV provider covers the rest.
  • "Sign in again" notices: when a saved TV-provider sign-in lapses in a way only you can fix, the network's row on Settings → TV Everywhere turns amber with the reason and a Sign in button, and the dashboard shows a banner listing every sign-in that needs redoing (FOX One and ESPN included). It clears itself on the next successful sign-in.
  • Bridge page redesign:
    • A status strip with the Bridge mode switch, which methods are live, how many channels are bridged, and the health check.
    • A getting-started checklist that ticks itself off and disappears when you're set up.
    • Method tiles for ah4c, HDMI Capture and PrismCast showing what's still missing.
    • One source × method coverage table replacing the two old lists.
    • HDMI Capture now has its own on/off toggle, like the other two methods. It's turned on automatically for installs that already have a capture stream URL.
    • Device Controls open per device from the devices card and work on any listed device.
    • A Request approval / Try connecting button for devices that missed the "Allow USB debugging?" prompt.
    • Compact ah4c activity on the ah4c card.
  • ah4c:
    • Tuner numbers on the Bridge page now match the numbers in ah4c's own logs (0-based, with each tuner's TUNERn_IP shown beside it). PR #69, thanks bnhf!
    • The Scripts column reads Up to date / Update recommended / Not used yet.
    • "Export ah4c scripts" is now Update ah4c scripts, and it recommends UPDATE_SCRIPTS=true so updating ah4c keeps the FastChannels scripts current. The one-line update command is still there, and now defaults to your LAN address instead of localhost.
  • Spectrum: channels get Gracenote IDs straight from Spectrum's lineup.
  • Pluto TV: programme ratings are passed through to the EPG.
  • Custom channels: KTLA live added to the catalog, and the detector resolves Nexstar station live streams.
  • Fubo: DRM channels are flagged for the Widevine bridge when they first appear, instead of after a first failed tune. A new Fubo source gets a full stream audit after its first scrape.

🔧 Fixes

  • ADB key survives updates: installs without the adb_keys volume minted a new ADB key on every container recreate, so every Fire TV needed re-approving after each update. The key is now kept in /data.
  • Sign-ins no longer block other work: sign-ins that wait on a person ran on the worker that also handles quick UI jobs, so an unattended one could hold up everything behind it for up to 30 minutes. They now run on a separate worker, and closing the window, leaving the page or pressing Cancel stops the sign-in.
  • NBC TVE: NBC's free channels (Bravo Vault, Real Housewives Vault, the Telemundo Ahora/Al Día feeds, NBC News NOW, NBC Sports NOW) are no longer disabled as "not in your subscription". If they were already disabled on your install, disable and re-enable the NBC source to get them back.
  • Spectrum:
    • "Sign in with another account" is now actually found and clicked when Spectrum recognizes a different account on your home network.
    • A Spectrum outage (IDID-3107) or bot-check reject (IDID-4000) stops with a clear message instead of timing out or retrying the password.
    • Travel Channels are named " (Local)" rather than after a station you can't stream.
  • TV Everywhere:
    • Providers that answer without a login redirect (WatchTVEverywhere providers such as Blue Stream) now get the "click Sign in" notice instead of a dead-end error.
    • The YouTube TV Google sign-in row is trimmed and only shown when it applies.
    • FOX TVE, FOX One and ESPN card notes are clearer about which account each one wants.
  • Categories: three Pluto Halloween channels → Horror, Roku Fireside → Ambiance.
  • Also fixed:
    • Source-card dropdowns are styled like the other inputs.
    • Advanced settings controls are tidied.
    • The setup guide covers what newer ah4c needs (CHANNELSIP and a persistent /opt/config).

⬆️ Upgrading

No manual steps: pull the new image/tag. The one new database column is added automatically on first boot, and M3U/EPG output is unchanged.

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

(If you build from source instead: git pull && docker compose up -d --build.)

FastChannels Player is unchanged at 5.2.10. If your devices are already on 5.2.10 there's nothing to update. If not, open Bridge → FastChannels Player devices and click Update to 5.2.10 per device, or Update all.
