Version 0.18.0 adds AWS multi-session support for commercial accounts and a new utility for rotating Kion App API Keys. Rotation updates the configuration file or prints the key, depending on how the current key was supplied — printing is gated behind a user prompt so a key is never printed without confirmation. Configuration file operations were also improved: modifications now preserve comments and formatting. Also fixes a bug where the selection prompt printed duplicate CARs during stak/console operations.

AWS Multi-Session

  • Add aws_multi_session: true under the kion mapping in your config file

Kion App API Key Rotation

  • kion util rotate-api-key rotates the API key for the default profile
  • For another profile: kion --profile <PROFILE> util rotate-api-key
  • Setting KION_API_KEY or passing --token <KION_API_KEY> rotates and prints the key instead of saving it to the config file

  • Adds support for AWS multi-session for commercial accounts via a new aws_multi_session config field [/pull/118]
  • Adds kion util rotate-api-key for rotating Kion App API Keys, plus supporting config helper changes [/pull/119]
