@MachinesOfDesire MachinesOfDesire released this 09 May 19:24

First release of the Python SDK for the AXIS protocol.

This is the canonical Python client matching the JS SDK feature set:

  • Sync + async clients. AxisClient (synchronous, requests-based feel) and AsyncAxisClient (httpx + asyncio).
  • Three-role coverage. Public, registrar, and admin/super-admin endpoints with stable error codes (AxisError).
  • Crypto primitives. generate_keypair, sign_ait, verify_ait_locally, decode_ait. Ed25519 only (the algorithm the AXIS Protocol Spec v0.1 supports).
  • Tested. 44 unit tests covering crypto, sync client, and async client.

Install once published to PyPI:

pip install axis-protocol-sdk

For now, install from source:

pip install git+https://github.com/MachinesOfDesire/axis-protocol-sdk-python.git@v0.1.0

Requires Python 3.10+.
