Engine floor moves to kglite 0.16.7 — a lockstep refresh, not a fix we
needed. 0.16.7 converts a family of Python-facing silent-wrong-answer
behaviours into typed errors (as_dict removed from the four centralities; degrees() / one-arg embeddings() / to_networkx() now raise on title/id
collisions; compare() traversal errors became kglite.ArgumentError) —
grep confirms codingest calls none of them, and the evidence is the gate:
build, clippy, the full test battery including golden_parity, the
release-gate suite, and the Python acceptance run are green across the bump
with zero source changes; the frozen parity goldens hold. If you
install the wheel, upgrade the Python engine too — the requirement moves to kglite>=0.16.7,<0.17 so the Rust .kgl writer and your separately
installed kglite reader stay on one release.
Fixed
Three documentation sentences stated the previous engine version as if
current (docs/mcp.md, both copies of the code-review skill's queries.md). Rephrased to historical "since kglite 0.16.6" form, so they
record when the behaviour appeared instead of rotting on every engine bump.
Flagged by KGLite's ecosystem version-consistency checker, which now reports
zero warnings for codingest.
