Klarinotte 0.5.6-beta.3 — Desktop

This release fixes the desktop app's connection to your account and gets the on-device AI features working.

Fixed

• Sign-in now works. The login verification (CAPTCHA) previously failed to load, which made signing in to sync impossible on the desktop app. You can now sign in and sync across devices.
• Semantic search now works. The AI search model (~130 MB) downloads once on first use and is cached on disk — every launch after is instant and offline. Using multiple windows no longer re-downloads it.
• OCR (text from images) now works. Language data downloads on first use for whichever languages you select in Settings, then is cached for offline use.

Note

The app isn't code-signed yet, so on first launch macOS may need right-click → Open, and Windows may show a SmartScreen prompt (More info → Run).

Desktop

• Multiple windows. Launching Klarinotte while it's already running now
  opens a second window instead of failing to start. File → New Window
  (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+N) does the same, and each window remembers its own notebook.
• Application menus work properly and no longer intercept keys meant for the editor.

Shared notebooks

• Removing someone from a shared notebook now more robustly revokes their access.
  Rotation also completes if it's interrupted, and leaving a notebook yourself
  triggers it too.
• People invited before a key rotation can still open the notebook afterwards.

Search

• Indexing for semantic search no longer stops at the first note it can't process.
• Large notes can now be indexed at all — previously they'd run for minutes
  and time out.
