LED Raster Designer v1.1.0

Change a screen's cabinet type 🔁 Ctrl+A selects all screens ⌨️ Guide fixes 🛠️

A small update, one day after 1.0, from the first reports back. Two additions and a few
fixes to the guides.

Change a screen's cabinet type

Right-click a screen on the canvas or in the Screens panel, or click the cabinet button next
to the eye, and pick a different cabinet from the catalog. Only the cabinet changes: its
pixels, millimetres, weight and watts. The screen keeps its columns, rows, position, name,
beach, group, ports and circuits. Select several screens to change them all at once, with
one undo. A screen in a group changes on its own; the other screens in the group are not
touched.

Ctrl+A selects all screens

Press Cmd+A on a Mac or Ctrl+A on Windows to select every screen on the canvas. If you are
selecting cabinets on a screen, it selects every cabinet of that screen instead. Before, it
selected all the text on the page, and the next drag on the canvas dragged that text around
as a ghost image of the whole window. The app's labels and panels can no longer be selected
as text, so a drag on the canvas always draws a selection box. Text fields and Notes still
work as before.

Fix list

  • The Advanced Guide no longer stops at the Cabinet size step with "this step did not take"
when the Screen Info section is folded or a sidebar is collapsed. The guides now open the
panel or section a step needs and put everything back the way you had it when you leave.

  • On a small window, the guide's box sat in the middle of the wall instead of in the right
sidebar. It now stays in the sidebar.

  • In a guide, typing a step number into the Go to box now takes you straight to that step,
with everything before it already done. Before, it played every step in between at high
    speed while you waited.

  • Help > Keyboard Shortcuts lists Cmd/Ctrl+A.

  • A keyboard shortcut still works when the key event has no key code, which some assistive
tools and injected key presses produce.

  • The README counts the catalog's cabinets (2,534), not its manufacturers (180).
