Wonderful screenwriting editor - does it have a future?

I've been using ThiefMD to work on scripts for a couple of days, and I'm very pleased with it. I'm tempted for the first time to give up vim+fountain plugin.
I notice, though, that in the Fedora repositories it is tagged "Stopped Receiving Updates". Any idea if ThiefMD will continue to be maintained?

It seems that @kmwallio is gone. He hasn't responded to my small PR from last year and his last github activity is from 2023.

After I realized that, I dived into the source code to see if I could port ThiefMD to GTK4, but it started looking like it'd be easier to restart (almost) from scratch instead. So ThiefMD is pretty dead now, I hope Miles is doing fine.

Would bounties help to get an up-to-date GTK4 version?
Also, less work (or more!) for a stripped-down fork, fountain syntax and local files only?

I kind of considered that again when this thread reminded me of ThiefMD's existence, but I'm already juggling too many projects.

Leaving out markdown doesn't really reduce the amount of work since GtkSourceView supports it natively and does pretty much everything for us.

I'd start that way regardless. I remember that those online integrations looked like a pain.
