Removed

• Breaking: DiffViewer widget has been removed. The @pierre/diffs library it depended on embedded 298 TextMate grammars, making diff-viewer.js 9.3 MB (62% of all static assets). The wheel drops from ~3.1 MB to ~1.5 MB compressed as a result. (Issue #217)

• Breaking: PulsarChart has been renamed to RidgelineChart — the conventional name for stacked-waveform "Joy Division" plots. The module also moved from wigglystuff.pulsar_chart to wigglystuff.ridgeline_chart. Update imports accordingly: from wigglystuff import RidgelineChart. (Issue #87)
• numpy and pillow are now optional dependencies. Install wigglystuff[all] to get both, or wigglystuff[numpy] / wigglystuff[pillow] individually. Widgets that require these libraries import them at function scope.
• Widgets that use d3 (Treemap, EdgeDraw, Neo4jWidget, ScatterWidget, SplineDraw, and RidgelineChart) now import only the specific d3-* submodules they need instead of bundling the full d3.min.js. Total shipped JS for these widgets drops from ~2.7 MB to ~225 KB (–92%).

Fixed

• Treemap no longer fails to render with Error rendering anywidget: h is not a function. The tree-shaking rewrite left two local variables (hierarchy, color) shadowing same-named d3 imports inside js/treemap/widget.js; the imports are now aliased so the d3 functions are reachable at the call sites.
