OpenBucket v0.2.1
A fix release. A full review of the app turned up the problems below; every fix comes with a test. OpenBucket now also has a website: openbucket.koative.com.
Fixes
- Rename, Move To, ⌥-copy, metadata and tag edits and version restores keep the object's storage class and server-side encryption (including its KMS key) instead of turning it into a STANDARD object with the bucket's default encryption.
- Files stored with a gzip or deflate Content-Encoding download byte for byte instead of being unzipped on the way.
- Redirects from an endpoint are reported as an endpoint or region problem instead of being followed with a request whose signature no longer matches.
- Thumbnails of empty or very short objects no longer fail on services that answer an out-of-range read without an error body.
- An endpoint host that doesn't exist, a deleted version and an archived (Glacier) object each get an accurate error message instead of a generic failure.
- Update Mac in Compare with Local Folder no longer moves a local file to the Trash just because its name differs only in case from a new S3 file, and refuses to write through a folder that is a symbolic link.
- Uploading or moving several items whose names would collide within the same batch keeps both as “name 2” instead of one overwriting the other.
- Refreshing after a change while a folder is still loading reloads that folder instead of going back to the previous one.
- A delete confirmation or metadata editor that finishes loading after you switch connections or folders no longer appears for the new one.
- New Folder, rename, Move To, delete and metadata prompts and the share sheet close when you leave the folder they were opened in.
- Compare with Local Folder checks Allow changes as currently saved, so turning it off stops Update S3 in an already open window.
- Quick Look's temporary copy is removed when you quit while a preview is open.
