v1.2.0: CompareDocuments
Adds CompareDocuments: give it two versions of a Word (.docx), text, Markdown or CSV file, and it lists every paragraph added, removed or changed, with the exact words that changed. It runs offline and reads both files in full.
Install once (hosts with a skill upload): upload rapp-static-brainstem.zip. Keep that file name, because it matches the skill's name. Give the host a minute, then ask: "Use my rapp-static-brainstem skill. What can you do for me?"
Attach instead: attach SKILL.md to a chat. It carries the whole brainstem in one file.
rapp-static-brainstem-skill.zip is the same zip under the name used in earlier releases.
rapp-static-brainstem 1.1.0 — attach one SKILL.md
Attach one file. SKILL.md (below) carries the whole brainstem: soul, agents and runner, embedded with one command that checks its SHA-256 and unpacks them. Attach it to any AI host that can run Python but can't fetch links, and say: "Follow this SKILL.md and run the Probe agent with nonce any-text-you-choose." A matching SHA-256 of your nonce shows the agent really ran.
SKILL.md: the one-file bundle (same asbundle/SKILL.mdat this tag). SHA-256eeb0ac56f74ed754fbbcecb2bd7c4a9c1127f0716b9a6432e3246825bbc08b36.rapp-static-brainstem-skill.zip: the same files as a zip. SHA-25630472dc0dfadde7431a91594042c5fb3ac678034728e3a3ff44a05fdbbd7b76e.
Also new: the bundle is skipped (with a status note) if it would pass 512 KB, every file it carries is secret-scanned, unpacking refuses unsafe paths and an existing folder, and published files get the usual permissions. 47 tests on Python 3.10 and 3.x.
Hosts that read links can still use https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kody-w/rapp-static-brainstem/v1.1.0/SKILL.md.
Non-authoritative discovery. Signed RAPP/1 frames and signed RAPP/1 registries remain the authority.
rapp-static-brainstem 1.0.0
First release of rapp-static-brainstem: a RAPP brainstem as static files (soul, single-file agents, tool schemas) that any AI can act as without a server.
Use it
- Hosts that read links: "Read https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kody-w/rapp-static-brainstem/v1.0.0/SKILL.md and act as my brainstem."
- Hosts that take attachments but can't reach the internet from code: attach
rapp-static-brainstem-skill.zip(below) and say "Unzip this, follow SKILL.md, and run the Probe agent with nonce any-text-you-choose." A matching SHA-256 of your nonce shows the agent really ran. - Local hosts with a skills folder:
python3 build.py --install-skill copilot|cowork|<folder>.
In this release
- Agents: Clock, Hello, Probe (proves a real run: nonce SHA-256, Python version, OS family; no paths, no network).
- The runner verifies each agent's SHA-256 before running it, and runs it in a temporary folder.
- 39 tests, passing on Python 3.10 and 3.x.
