• Asset base detection fixed: strict looksLikeBase only accepts the assets/characters layout (a previous over-permissive check picked the launch directory, leaving chars=0).
• Mini-window fallback: when the subprocess service is unavailable the plugin falls back to web display (window=false), so the pet always shows.
• Removed diagnostic logging.
