Sideleaf 0.1.10

Sideleaf 0.1.10 makes it easier to edit quick config files and renders more of your Markdown.

What’s new

• sideleaf FILE opens any text file, such as .json, .ini, .env or a file with no extension, as plain text. Sideleaf saves these files byte for byte, and keeps their line endings, byte-order mark and final newline. It refuses binary or non-UTF-8 files. Comments and agent commands still work only on .md, .markdown, .mdown and .txt documents, so Sideleaf never writes review metadata into a config file. (#71)
• The preview renders <br>, the usual way to break a line in a Markdown table cell. All other raw HTML stays escaped. (#70)
• Formatting shortcuts toggle emphasis on and off, and Return continues tight lists. (#49)
• Windows: saving a file inside WSL uses one subprocess, not several. (#52)
• macOS: the runtime keeps its scratch files outside the signed app, so the app signature stays valid after launch. (#56)

The macOS download is signed and notarized. The Windows setup remains unsigned; extract its ZIP before running Setup.
