Sideleaf 0.1.3 makes Markdown files feel native and adds calmer ways to read and write.

Highlights

  • Registers .md, .markdown, and .mdown as editable Markdown documents on macOS and Windows, with reliable shell-open handling for spaced and Unicode paths.
  • Adds distraction-free mode with Cmd+Opt+D on macOS or Ctrl+Alt+D on Windows, Esc to leave, and the existing Write, Split, and Read shortcuts inside the focused workspace.
  • Adds coordinated editor-and-preview zoom from 70–180%, with keyboard shortcuts and a compact footer control.
  • Refines the title bar, Sideleaf and Settings menus, themed About view, responsive toolbar, and centered empty-document illustration.
  • Keeps the empty preview responsive without introducing a document scrollbar.

  • macOS: Apple Silicon, macOS 26.6.2 or later. Download the signed, notarized, and stapled DMG.
  • Windows: Windows 11 x64. Download and extract the complete setup ZIP before running Setup. The Windows installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows may show a publisher warning.
