Sideleaf 0.1.4 adds a compact layout, complete theme controls, and cleaner menus.

What changed

  • Added Minimal layout. It moves document actions, the file name, and Comments into the title bar while keeping Write, Split, and Read close at hand.
  • Added a Keyboard shortcuts popup to the Sideleaf menu.
  • Added Light, Dark, and System appearance choices in Settings and the footer.
  • Updated Sideleaf's custom Mac shortcuts to use Command-Shift. Windows keeps Control-Alt for writing modes and comments.
  • Reworked the hamburger menu with Distraction-free mode, setup actions, update checks, Help, and About.
  • Fixed Windows title-bar dragging, top-edge resizing, and the dark scrollbar seam.
  • Fixed Windows Markdown registration so the system app picker shows Sideleaf by name and opens .md, .markdown, and .mdown files with the installed app.

Downloads

  • macOS: Apple Silicon, macOS 26.6.2 or later. The DMG is signed, notarized, and stapled.
  • Windows: Windows 11 x64 with WebView2. Extract the ZIP, then run the unsigned setup executable.
