Take Arbor with you

Arbor is officially supported on phones and tablets — with a full touch workflow, a complete branching view, and the same normal Markdown notes underneath.

A real mobile Branch Editor

  • Focused touch layout keeps the selected sibling column in reach, with a dedicated action dock for navigation, editing and structure changes.
  • Pinch from 25% to 160% to scale the entire Branch Editor scene: cards, text, spacing and layout now zoom together.
  • Pan naturally when zoomed in and scan more of the branch when zoomed out, instead of shrinking text inside fixed cards.
  • Tap a card to select it; double-tap or use Edit to write. Save and cancel remain within reach.

Tree Overview, built for touch

  • Pan the full tree with one finger and pinch with two fingers to zoom.
  • Opening an off-screen card reveals it smoothly, so you do not lose your place while editing.
  • PNG and one-page PDF exports use mobile-safe limits.

Theme Studio polish

  • The large theme preview grows with its actual text, so branch cards no longer overlap on mobile.
  • The mobile action bar has a solid surface with no distracting shadows behind Close, Theme actions or Apply selected.

Reliable navigation and notes

  • Breadcrumb selection stays steady while moving through a branch; only genuinely new path items animate.
  • Mobile loading and legacy-note recovery are adapted for portable vaults.
  • No migration is required: Arbor notes stay normal Markdown with readable block markers and a structure footer.

Compatibility and manual install

Arbor requires Obsidian 1.7.2 or newer. For a manual update, download main.js, manifest.json and styles.css below, then replace the matching files in .obsidian/plugins/arbor.
