UFO CLI 1.5.1
UFO CLI 1.5.1 improves the agent guide and the first document workflow. Local Office and PDF tools, free for individuals and eligible small teams, with no account or watermark.
What changed
- Correct revision-guard examples and focused reads in the installed agent guide.
- Clear command-specific
--compactsupport, PDF--pagesselection, and MCP argument guidance. - A runnable client-update example with readable spreadsheet columns, native Word tracked changes, and updated PowerPoint text.
- A 36-second native Office walkthrough, with captions, transcript and downloadable before/after files.
Already installed? Rerun the installer, then refresh the guide in your project and start a new agent session:
curl -fsSL https://universalfileopener.com/install.sh | sh
ufo doctor
ufo skill install --agent claude-code --dir "$PWD" --replaceUse --agent cursor for Cursor or --agent codex for Codex. The installer verifies the downloaded application against the release checksums.

Verification
The full engineering chain, image-bound security policies, archive integrity, and fresh Ubuntu/Debian installation checks passed. The downloadable example passed all 20 commands on 1.5.1. Its published Office video and before/after files retain their original 1.5.0 provenance.
Fifteen fresh synthetic agent trials passed independent content and preservation checks; two triage sessions chose CLI despite the requested MCP transport. Three focused follow-ups passed with the final guide, including MCP triage. This is not a general speed, cost, or error-free interaction claim.
To verify the checksum signature using OpenSSH:
ssh-keygen -Y verify -f release-signers.txt -I krauq-owner \
-n ufo-cli-release-checksums-v1 -s SHA256SUMS.sig < SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMSPublic signer fingerprint: SHA256:PaoFqFSErvcvmeZ+GAzWUSX/f2A3afw9RIvrs4wxt60.
