Bucket List
A pressure-free home for someday/maybe tasks, opened from GLANCE (telescope button, or press U).
- Two lists with renameable headings (defaults: Anytime and Someday); the second list can be hidden
- Send any Inbox task to the Bucket List from its card or the task editor. Deadline and priority are cleared on the way in: the Inbox nags, the Bucket doesn't
- Bucket items never appear in Inbox counts, overdue alerts, auto-archive, or scheduling suggestions
- Promote items back to the Inbox, or schedule one straight into today's next open slot
- Shared notes panel, drag to reorder, notes and subtasks in the editor, and full sync/backup/undo support
- In multi-user households, new bucket items belong to their creator
Natural-language quick add
Type "dentist tomorrow 3pm every 2 weeks" in any quick-add box and dayGLANCE parses the date, time, tags, and recurrence instantly. Each parsed piece shows as a chip you can tap to undo. Fully deterministic: it works offline, requires no AI, and existing # @ ~ $ ! shortcuts still take priority.
Voice input without AI
Voice task entry no longer requires an AI provider.
- Android and iOS use on-device speech recognition with a live transcript
- Browsers use built-in speech recognition where available
- Spoken (or typed) input is parsed by the same natural-language engine, including recurrence
- With an AI provider configured, everything works as before, including multi-task dictation and edit commands
SCHED improvements
- Tasks and events happening right now show a pulsing red NOW marker
- New view preferences in FILTERS: show/hide completed tasks and show/hide past calendar events. Both survive reload
- A task in progress is no longer painted as overdue; the red time label starts when its window ends
Improvements
- New keyboard shortcuts: V opens voice input (no AI required), U opens the Bucket List
- The green calendar status dot in Settings now recognizes native calendars (macOS, Android, iOS), not just calendar URLs
- Clearer error message when the browser's speech service is unreachable
- GLANCE search button label simplified to "Search"
Fixes
- macOS: no more white flash while the app loads; the window now opens in your theme color
- Escape in a stacked editor no longer closes the modal underneath it
- Toggling AI off mid-session no longer breaks voice input
- Various tablet polish (visible task actions, no surprise keyboard pop-ups)
