A bug fix release focused on protecting your data.

Fixed

  • Moving a category that contained subcategories no longer hides those subcategories and their chores. Nothing was ever deleted, and any items hidden by this bug in an earlier version reappear automatically after updating. When you move a category under another one, its subcategories now move up alongside it so everything stays visible.
  • Restore from backup now works reliably:
    • You can restore from a file saved in your WebDAV backups folder. Previously this could fail with a "file may be corrupted" message.
    • Restoring a backup now actually takes effect and stays applied, instead of being silently reverted by cloud sync moments later.
  • A backup file exported from the app is now a complete snapshot, including your people list and settings.

Added

  • Restore now saves a snapshot of your current data before it runs, so you can undo a restore if you pick the wrong backup.
  • Restore now asks for an explicit confirmation and reminds you that it replaces your data on every synced device.

No action is needed before updating. If a category's chores looked like they went missing, they will come back on their own once you are on v1.13.2.
