v0.7.1
v0.7.0
A plate can now have a frame. It grows outside the picture, in its own color, as a raised lip, a bevel, or a groove. String holes run through the top corners, and a nail hanger is a keyhole pocket on the back. The preview grid can be set to the printer bed.
v0.6.1
A 0.4 mm nozzle now starts at a 1.6 mm ridge pitch, with two lines on each slope. The ridge height starts at 1.28 mm. The crest line starts turned on.
v0.6.0
The optional front picture is gone.
Aspect, under Part size, sets the plate and the crop frame. Match picture follows the first picture. Free lets width and height be set separately. Square (1:1), 4:3, 3:2, 5:4, 16:9, 2:1, 3:4, 2:3, and 9:16 are the fixed shapes.
Lay the plate flat with the ridges facing up, and always print at 100% infill.
v0.5.0
The crest line is its own part and sits on its own slice layer, above the pictures, so it stays straight even when the color underneath matches.
Layer height and initial layer height are in the Resolution section. Use the same numbers as the slicer. The crest line becomes one layer tall, and the nozzle still fills in the pitch, row size, ridge height, and crest width.
v0.4.1
Download Lentic.exe and double-click it. Leave the window open while you design, and close it when you are done.
lentic-source.zip is this same version of the source.
The base starts black. The resolution note now lists the pitch, ridge, row size, lines per slope, the flat at the tip, and the crest line for the nozzle you picked.
v0.4.0
Download Lentic.exe and double-click it. Leave the window open while you design, and close it when you are done.
lentic-source.zip is this same version of the source.
This version adds a nozzle menu for 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6 mm. Picking one sets the pitch, row size, ridge height, and crest line for that nozzle.
Lentic 0.3.0
Download Lentic.exe and double-click it. Leave the window open while you design, and close it when you are done.
lentic-source.zip is this same version of the source.
This version adds an optional crest line along the top of each ridge. It starts off, in black, 0.4 mm wide and 0.2 mm tall, and the size and color can change. View from Left and View from Right, or Top and Bottom, turn the plate 45 degrees with the picture upright.
Lentic 0.2.0
Double-click Lentic.exe and leave the window open while you design. Close it when you are done. The page stays on your computer.
This version also starts from a larger plate a 0.4 mm nozzle can fill, keeps each side view to one picture, adds magnet pockets, and adds text with your own spool colors. Set the plastic below the magnets to 0 if you would rather glue them in from the back after the print.
