🔧 Technical Implementation

🎯 AI Detection Algorithms

Focus Detection Pipeline

# MediaPipe Face Mesh → Landmark extraction → Gaze vector calculation
def detect_focus(frame):
    landmarks = face_mesh.process(frame)
    gaze_vector = calculate_gaze_direction(landmarks)
    focus_score = analyze_attention_patterns(gaze_vector)
    return focus_score > threshold

Object Detection Pipeline

# YOLOv8 Model → Classification → Confidence filtering → Result aggregation
def detect_objects(frame):
    detections = yolo_model(frame)
    filtered = [d for d in detections if d.confidence > threshold]
    return classify_unauthorized_objects(filtered)

🔄 Real-time Communication

  • WebSocket connection for bidirectional communication
  • Base64 frame encoding for efficient video transmission
  • 2 FPS processing to balance accuracy and performance
  • Event debouncing to prevent spam detections
