Up.computer Alpha v0.0.29 is an early public Alpha distribution. Expect rough edges and occasional breaking changes.

Downloads

  • macOS — Apple silicon: Up.computer-0.0.29-arm64.dmg
  • macOS — Intel: Up.computer-0.0.29-x64.dmg
  • Windows — x64: Up.computer-0.0.29-x64.exe
  • Linux — x64: Up.computer-0.0.29-x86_64.AppImage

The macOS installers are signed, notarized, and stapled. The Windows installer is intentionally unsigned for this Alpha.

Windows SmartScreen

Windows may display “Windows protected your PC.” If you downloaded the installer from this release, select More info, verify that the filename is Up.computer-0.0.29-x64.exe, then select Run anyway. Do not bypass SmartScreen for copies obtained elsewhere.

For installation notes and platform requirements, visit https://up.computer/download/.

Official installers combine the public Up.computer Core at commit 8b9d08a with bundled first-party extensions. See the repository notices for licensing details.

Known issue: macOS in-app updater

macOS in-app update may download this nightly but fail to restart/install because current nightly builds are not yet signed with Apple Developer ID.

For now, update manually:

  1. Quit Up.computer Nightly.
  2. Download the correct .dmg from this release:
    • Apple Silicon: arm64.dmg
    • Intel Mac: x64.dmg
  3. Open the DMG.
  4. Drag Up.computer (Nightly) into Applications and replace the old app.
  5. Open the app again.

If macOS blocks it, right-click the app and choose Open, or use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

Your sessions/settings are stored separately and should not be deleted.
