Switchyard 0.1.0
Switchyard is a Rust LLM API gateway with an embedded dashboard. It translates OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI Responses, Anthropic Messages and Gemini requests, supports streaming, and routes across provider credentials with cooldowns and failover.
This release completes the dashboard workflows for providers, credentials, models, routing, client keys, usage, requests, logs, configuration and the playground. It includes Responses over WebSocket, a Realtime relay, live dashboard updates, single-use browser WebSocket tickets, and improvements to access checks, input limits and secret redaction.
Download and run
Download and extract switchyard-0.1.0-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip, then run switchyard.exe in a private working directory. First startup creates a configuration with fresh credentials and a mock provider. Open http://127.0.0.1:8317/admin/ to get started. Interactive terminals display the initial credentials once; redirected logs omit them.
The Windows x64 build requires the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 x64 Redistributable. Install it if Windows reports a missing VCRUNTIME140.dll.
Windows: the ZIP includes the executable, README, example configuration, documentation and license notices. The executable is not code-signed.
Linux x64: extract switchyard-0.1.0-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz, enter the extracted directory and run ./switchyard from a private working directory. The static-musl executable has no shared-library dependencies. The package includes the same documentation and a BUILD-INFO.txt recording the native Alpine compiler and verification.
SHA-256 checksum files are attached for both archives.
Verification
- Windows workspace tests: 3,548 passed, zero failed or ignored.
- Rust formatting, Clippy with warnings denied, generated API documentation check and UI checks passed.
- Rust 1.88 minimum-version source check passed; dependency audit reported no known vulnerabilities in the locked dependencies at the time of checking.
- Dashboard checked across 10 routes, four viewport widths and both themes; focused browser checks repeated against the packaged executable.
- Packaged runtime: 11 checks passed, covering the four protocols with streaming and non-streaming, WebSocket ticket consumption and two-turn history, plus configuration persistence and reload.
These runtime and browser checks used synthetic credentials and the built-in mock provider. They do not establish compatibility with every live provider or a clean Windows installation.
Platform availability and operating limits
This release provides locally built and runtime-tested Windows x64 and Linux x64 static-musl binaries. Linux was built natively on isolated Alpine Linux with Rust 1.96.1 (actual compiler target x86_64-alpine-linux-musl); its package uses the conventional x86-64 Linux/static-musl platform label. The extracted package passed its startup smoke and all 11 protocol/WebSocket/configuration runtime checks. Native workspace testing initially exposed a paused-clock heartbeat test issue; after that test was corrected to measure real TCP time, all 11 tests in the affected suite passed.
macOS Apple Silicon and Intel: whole-workspace source checks passed for both targets using an SDK-free toolchain. No macOS executable has been linked or run. Linux ARM64, macOS binaries and container artifacts remain pending because GitHub Actions jobs could not start under the account billing lock. Other Linux distributions have not been runtime-tested.
Read the security model before deployment. The administrator and configuration directory are trusted; the dashboard stores its admin credential in browser storage, with persistent storage only when Remember is enabled. Provider accounts and remote file namespaces are shared unless you isolate them operationally. On Windows, private files inherit the working directory's access permissions.
