v1.3.0 URLs and variable screen size
Features:
- Added Urls as a slice of strings in all relevant functions
- All visual items (input fields and text columns) are calculated to resize to look good in different sized terminals
/is optional to start off commands, openis the same as/open/open's sensitive information that is colored the same as the background is now highlighted the same color as the text -- assurance against a possible future background change- Changed text prompting in delete entry pop up
Bug fixing / refactoring:
- All instances of
fmt.Sprint(str, str)for string concatenation have been swapped tostr + stror string builder using +b.WriteString(str + str), as I found those to be faster thanfmt.Sprintin benchmark tests - Spelling mistakes fixed
- Alphabet iterator is now an int, not a struct
- Each time
/helpand/openare called, the page will start scrolled up at the top /flist strnow shows the entries not in circulation (like/find)- Moved
writeToFile, readFromFile, and theentrystruct toencrypt.goso that it can be imported intochangeKey.goandcreateEncre.go - README updated
- All files are
gofmtformatted - Input fields in both the password screen and home screen will only be done once user clicks enter/return or tab; no longer arrows or back tab
Full Changelog: v1.2.1...v1.3.0
v1.2.1 Small Bug Fixes
Fixed small compilation bug.
Changed parameters for Argon2 to be more reasonable.
v1.2.0: Rewrote code, command shortcuts, updated repo
New stuff:
- Added shortcuts for the commands (in addition to
/open, can write/o) - Protection for
createEncr.goorchangeKey.goto not change your password to/qor/quit(because you can use/quitor/qin the password screen) /compand/reusedalso compare security questions
Redone code (to be better):
- Got rid of lots of unnecessary if/else by returning functions and using a new
switchToError() - Made a struct alphabetIterator instead of the old rune slice system to be used to make the alphabet in the lists. This is better because it's just storing an int that can be converted into a rune.
- only initialized variables immediately before they are used
- When possible, only initialize (anonymous) functions when used the first time
- Better wrap around for long notes in /open (splits up the string so that there is always the space at the beginning of each line)
- Used
strings.Builderandfmt.Sprintto use buffers in combining strings - Fixed redundant
findEntries()andfindIndexes - Made the struct
Fieldlower case - Renamed module to github.com/ksharnoff/pass
- Stopped defining grids ahead of time for most things, only make the grids when the primitives are added to pages. Therefore, also got rid of many of the structs that define text-grid, list-grid, etc.
- Comments end at column 80

/helptext and the side bar info
v1.1.0: Formatting, fixed bugs
Similar to when it was first finished August 2022 as v1.0.0.
v1.1.0 has bug fixes and added features. If you were to take a file of passwords from two years it would run perfectly with this update.
The added features are: /flist str, /comp # #, and /reused. Major bug fixes are: /copy # now works without pointer issues, /list displays past 63 entries, the colors of edit field on /edit # and /new are consistent.
I am releasing this version now as a reference as I am going to be re-writing a lot of the code and then making big structural non backwards compatible changes.
