Install Issue Troubleshooting

We have sections for different platforms, please choose the corresponding one with your system:

It's also a good idea to google this issue, as it may not be on our end.

MacOS

While dragging the MPRUN file to Applications in the installer, you may have noticed this error (or something similar):

g9K5K

This error is due to Codesigning and developer related issues. When you create a app with Mac, you have to get a developer signature/team ID to sign the app.

Solution

There is a solution explained flawlessly by this user on an Apple forum:

When an application gets downloaded from any source other than those that Apple seems suited, the application gets an extended attribute "com.apple.Quarantine". This triggers the message: " is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin."

Remove the attribute and you can launch the application.

To do this, open terminal and type:

cd /Applications

Then, type:

xattr -c MPRUN.app

This should solve your issue, simply just double click to reopen MPRUN.

If none of this works, Simplified Technology on Youtube has a great video explaining how to fix this (plus it's 1 minute and 19 seconds long). To simplify:

  1. Open a new terminal window in your Applications directory by right clicking the directory and clicking New Terminal Tab.
  2. In terminal type this command:

sudo spctl --master-disable

It will prompt you for a password, just simply enter your computers password.

  1. Then type:

xattr -cr MPRUN.app

  1. Restart MPRUN by double clicking it, and this should solve your problem!

Windows

While double clicking the setup file (.exe) to run it, you may have noticed this error (or something similar):

windowsdefender

Solution

Click the "More Info" button, and a button saying "Run Anyway" should pop up:

fd3e1cb2-b375-41a7-99ed-499528c883ac

Click the "Run Anyway" button, and the installer shall work as normal.
