Kudzu 0.8.42 reduces repeated generated filesystem work for large static route sets and accelerates one proven hidden query form carry shape.

Highlights

  • Byte-identical native, parameter, and effect route entries share one emitted file within a build.
  • A narrow read-only hidden query form shape initializes from location.search before deferred parameter ESM.
  • Static siblings remain complete zero-JavaScript documents.
  • Native document navigation remains the catalog default; the measured enhanced-navigation experiment was removed.

Focused measurements

  • 1,000-product cold build: 13,866 ms to 13,203 ms.
  • 1,000-product warm build: 13,560 ms to 13,087 ms.
  • Output: 10.48 MB to 9.53 MB.
  • Slow 4G hidden query carry readiness: 783 ms to 348 ms.

These are focused Kudzu before/after measurements, not a cross-framework fastest claim. See PERFORMANCE.md for methodology, limitations, and the rejected navigation result.

Validation

  • npm run check: 157 generated pages.
  • npm test: 208/208 tests.
  • npm run test:package: passed.
